WHAT ARE WE UP TO TODAY?
August 13th,2014

Another beautiful day here at Silver Lake. Today we decided to show Ken and Nancy the Hart Historical District Museum. Almost everything here as been donated and the people who look after it are volunteers. There is a little bit of everything here to see, from mechanical dolls, household items, trucks and cars to an log cabin, one room school house, a church an old feed mill.
Entrance to the museum, guided tour is only $8.00/person.

 One of many doll houses.
Ken and I with the 1930 something Ford truck and below the old fire engine, by the way, they both still run and will be used in the up coming Labor Day parade.

There is quite a display of stuffed wild life and fishing gear, old tools both hand and mechanical. Below is the one room school house with our guide holding up the US flag with 48 stars.

It is well worth the price of admission and there are more things to see then there is room here to list them.

After that it was back to the camp ground to relax. As this was our last night we headed out to "The Hearth" restaurant for supper. Great place and food.

After supper we headed over for one last look at the toy hauler we fell in love with and to say goodbye to Mike the sales rep who we have spent some time with discussing this trailer.
