Ahhhh look at those sand dunes!!!
ReplyDeleteSteep hills out there!!!
Some 300ft…….and I’m guessing 40 - 45 degree angles!!🤔🤔
Yes you would be right and they are forever changing when the wind blows.
DeleteThere are some wonderful camping areas along Ogilby Road. Enjoy Pilot Knob!!

Thanks Deb, we have visited out Ogilby Rd but only being here for a short time is better for us at Pilot Knob.
DeleteI didn't know they were called the Buttercup sand dunes, But I do now. Yes, I am well familiar with where you guys are at. My heart aches for the southwest so bad. Enjoy your time there because it's a real sledghammer feeling when one can't go anymore.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know either, got the name off of Google maps. I am sure you miss the southwest as I know we will when we can't come anymore.
DeleteBeautiful boondocking spot you picked Bill. Looking forward to staying there soon. Desert gods willing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Doug, we have our fingers crossed that you will be this way soon.
ReplyDeleteWe have disagreed with Google Maps in the past, also. Much prefer the route you took. The bonus you get to see the hand waving. Enjoy your stay in that beautiful spot.
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb and Tom, prefer this route and think of you guys when we see the hand waving.
DeleteI always found Hwy 95 from Needles down to the Parker turnoff was such a nice drive. Just gotta watch out for fast drivers. Either way, it's beautiful scenery!
ReplyDeleteWe do love this drive, couldn't agree more.
