Where Are We Today

Pat Said I Should Write
Yes , it has been some time since I
put something on my blog, but if you follow Pat's blog,HERE , you know exactly
what we are up to, where we have been, how we are doing, and why. So no point
in writing it about it twice, well except for today, just so I write something,
it may be close to what Pat writes.
Breathless scenery! |
Today is a travel day, leaving Fire
Road 688 near the south rim of the Grand Canyon we headed south on AZ. Hwy 64
to I-40 at Williams AZ. I- 40 East was
so ruff from Williams past Flagstaff to mile marker 210, I thought my back
teeth were going to fall out.
It was a good day to drive, cruising
along at 60 MPH, relaxed with light steady traffic until just before we stopped
when we hit 5 miles of construction for about 15 minutes. Finally stopping at
Sky City Travel Center and Casino for the night, tucked into a corner where we
are away from the trucks and able to open our slides. There is a little wind
that will rock us to sleep.
We are on a slow homeward trek with arrival in Ontario slated for April 1 st., so with time between here and then, we will find a campground to stay in for a few days.
That's about it from me, enjoy the
pics, comment if you like and until the next time stay safe.
Nice to hear from you again. Enjoy the journey and travel safe. Those pumps can be a pain sometimes but still do the trick. Glad you got to see the canyon. It sure is an awesome sight!
ReplyDeleteThanks George, enjoying these easy miles down the road, no rush. First time to see pumps like that and the price was great also. The canyon sure is an awesome sight, will definitely go and see more of it in the future.
DeleteStay in touch Bill:))
ReplyDeleteWill do Al, it has been far to long since the last time.
DeleteGlad you enjoyed the Grand Canyon.
ReplyDeleteNice to hear from you again.
Hate those pumps, Had them a few times.
Safe Travels and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Yes the Grand Canyon was nice and those pumps are different, first time that I have seen them.
DeleteSafe travels
Nice to hear from you and get your point of view of your travels. Tom says he remembers the sections of I-40 that were not that great, as he puts it. I just remember the scenery, of course, as the passenger I do get to enjoy the scenery a lot more...:) Continued Safe Travels.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys, it sure was a rough section. When we came down last fall, we didn't travel this way, instead went south in New Mexico. The scenery is great and Pat like you took it all in as well as writing some of her post for tonight. Safe travels as well.
