Flag Poles

Where Are We Today

Still here at Imperial Dam LTVA, in California. I had to go back and check my last post, to make sure I didn't say we were in Arizona. A bit of a geography lesson, Arizona and California are divided by the Colorado River. The Imperial Dam is part of the Colorado River System. When we entered the area we came from the Arizona side of the river, before you know it, you are across the river and into California and the LTVA area. Being so close to Arizona, everyone here is still on Mountain Time and not Pacific time.
Today is  Saturday, I think, just a minute while I check, yup sure enough it is. Not that it really matters, when you don't have to be anywhere, one day is like the next, living the dream and having fun. Sorry, no not really, I am not trying to rub it in to you working stiffs or those that just can't seem to find away to do the same, but this is a great life.
Since my last post, other than relaxing, we did go into Yuma AZ. with Pat's sister Gayle and B-I-L John for the day on Thursday. Between laundry for them, a haircut for me and some shopping for various items we had a good time.
One of the items I wanted to get were two flag poles that mount to the ladder at the back of the Suite. I had seen these at the Arizona Market the last time we were there, so went back and had another look.  Yes these will do, so I bought them. Today, I attached the brackets and put the 23 foot telescopic poles up with new flags on each one.

After that , our neighbor Rob was doing a little job on his trailer so went over to give him a hand, or at least be the fresh air inspector and throw in my two cents worth.
With that taken care of, it was soon time for "happy hour" , the four of us solved some more of the world's problems before heading in for supper.

Every once in awhile, I take the"happy hour" picture, just so you know that Pat is here.

There you have it, another day of mostly sunshine and living the dream. Thanks for following along and until the next time, take care and be safe.

  3. We sure think alike, eh? Not knowing what the other one is writing to find out that our first paragraph was about losing track of time. :)

  4. Wow, what a great shot, however, a little too desolate for my liking! What a shame since you're really missing quite the winter storm and a very balmy 13*F as I write. There was a 100 car pile up near Bowmanville last night (1/7/17) thanks to very limited visibility, don't know about injuries.
Well keep on keepin on, you'll get the hang of it!

  5. Hey guys. Just took a couple of minutes to catch up on your adventures. Sure looks like you are having the time of your lives. I am jealous. But then if Linda and I were down there with you, who would be left to suffer through the -
    Cold?
    Snow?
    Freezing rain?
    Power Outages?
Ha! Stay safe, and we look forward to catching up when you return.
