Elephant Butte State Park

Right off the bat, I want to thank George from Our Awesome Travels for another great tip on a place to see. This is a beautiful state park.

Yesterday we stayed put at  " Hidden Valley Campground " did some laundry, walking and relaxing.

No rush this morning to get going, did some book keeping, had breakfast, showered and then packed up to get on our way around 11:00 am. Traffic wasn't bad going around Albuquerque, and in no time we were cruising along I 25 South almost by ourselves. After about a three hour drive, we arrived at Elephant Butte State Park. In no time we were set up and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

We have booked into here for three nights, so tomorrow we will start exploring the area.
Thanks for following along, until the next time, take care and be safe.
